Hello. Im first year Ph.d student on F1 visa. I will finish my degree in 5 years. I have 2 publication from master degree. So I don’t know how many paper I can publish during Phd degree yet. 1) Can I apply for a green card now? 2) Will it be much harder at second time if I fail to get a green card at first?
I will be looking for your reply. Thanks,
Best

Hi
1) The right time to apply is when you think you have all the necessary evidence to satisfy USCIS criteria. If you can email us more information about your CV then we would be able to help. You should also be aware of limitations while applying as a student. Please see the for more information of applying while on F1.
2) It wont be any harder the second time.
Best wishes

It depends on whether or not you can satisfy the USCIS criteria, see the link below. The number of publications by itself does not indicate the eligibility.
