RFE on scholarly articles on a O1A petition for being second or subsequent author

Published Aug 20,2021 By halokhan

Hello All,

Apologies for using the EB1A as the post category tag, my RFE is about the O1A petition. Since both EB1A and O1A have the same criteria, I believe posting this question here might be a good idea. My RFE is about scholarly articles, we have provided article citation as the evidence.  The RFE is about me being not the lead author on any articles. I work in the area of cancer translational sciences, I provide analytical bioinformatics expertise for all projects. For all articles physicians or molecular biologists are the lead/primary authors. I am usually the second or the third author.  What strategy should I put in place to answer this RFE?

Any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks 🙂

Good evening,

I assume that the O-1 visa is sponsored by your prospective/current employer, so their lawyer should take care of the RFE. We do not provide legal advice, and we can’t comment on the strategies to pursue, especially if we do not see the original petition and RFE. You can have a look at the EB1A RFE template from USCIS, where they explain what kind of comparable evidence can be provided in a reply to the officer:
