NIW EB2 greencard application

Hi

I have Phd in atmospheric science. I am doing my PostDoc.

I have 4 papers published ( 1 first author and 3 co-author).

I have 10 citations .

I am from Ethiopian. Do you think I have a chance to apply for NIW EB2 green card

Hi Biniam,

If you can show that the research you do has a substantial intrinsic merit and national interest (see the first link below) and you can attribute the small number of citations to the smallness of the community or other reasons, then you may have a chance of preparing a successful EB2-NIW case. Ideally, it would be better to collect more citations before applying (see stats by the second link below).

I have 20 papers published ( 8 first author and 12 co-author).

I have 250 citations .

I am from Togo. Do you think I have a chance to apply for NIW EB2 green card

Hi Yao,

It depends on the type of research you do and your ability to show that it has an intrinsic merit (please see details by the link below). If you complete your PhD, that should not be a problem and you can also consider a possibility to apply for EB1A.
