Hello,
Can you please advise if the university should be a top school?
And in your opinion what is that minimum number of citation is needed?(It’s terrible because that is not under our control.)

Could you please elaborate more on “university should be a top school”? I am not sure I understood the question…
There is not really a minimal number of citations for NIW. I saw stats from one law firm that their median citation count for successful cases was 84. So, in other words, if you have somewhere around 100, it is good, but it’s not necessary.

Hi, thank you for your response. So I mean “top school” if chances are bigger if the candidate graduated from a top school or it doesn’t matter if his/her university is a school like Princeton or a university that is not so famous/not a top school?

Getting a degree from top school is helpful but not critical. Since people who are going to judge your petition are not specialists in your field, you may be successful in convincing them that being a top school graduate adds more legitimacy to your case. However, you need to emphasize your strong sides. If your school is not from the top of a list, just don’t mention it.
