Which criteria to use for EB2-NIW while preparing the petition

Dear Freinds,
I want to thank you for your great effort in providing immense help to all the PhD holders in the GC process. I recently downloaded your NIW-DIY packet and have a question about the criteria based on which the petition should be prepared. I am a PhD ( Electrical Engineering ) with a 5 ( First Author) publications and 7 (second author) publications. None of them are in a peer reviewed journal. All of them are papers presented and published in conference proceedings with total of 20 citations ( independent and self combined). Currently i am employed for past three years with a company. My questions was related to what criteria should i choose for preparing the application. Should i choose the advance degree criteria or the exceptional ability criteria. Also the base field and knowledge of Electrical Engineering for me is same but the applications have changed wrt to PhD and current job. Application for my PhD work was in medical imaging while the application for my job is in smart energy sector. Would it disqualify me from NIW?
Thanks

Hi
It is possible to apply in either one of the two categories depending how your rest of evidence/over all evidence. With as few as many publications as yours, others have successfully petitioned in the exceptional ability. Please email us a detailed CV so that we can suggest which category would be best suited for your.
Having expertise in multiple disciplines would not hurt as long as you have a coherent explanation tying everything together.
