I140 after quitting PhD

Published Sep 15,2024 By Shiny

Hi
I was a full time PhD student with 6 publications and 3years into it I quit my PhD. I got an employer who sponsored my H1B and it got approved. If my employer files my I140 will my history be considered and in what category they will file my application?
Thank you

If your employer plans to sponsor your I140, then it is better to ask them how they want to proceed. Is your current employment in the same field as your PhD studies?
