PhD with CPT

Hi there!

I am enrolling in a school that offers international students with full time CPT to work for 3 years and study simultaneously. Will I get OPT and will I be eligible under any of the three categories that EB1 have?

Hi Sri,

If you accumulate 12 months (365 or more days) of full-time CPT authorization, you lose your eligibility for OPT. Part-time CPT and fewer than 12 months of full-time CPT authorization does not affect your OPT eligibility.
