PhD in Physics from US, can I apply for a green card from abroad?

Hi I earned my PhD (STERN category) from New York University in US in 2011, and then I left US and went back to my home country and worked till now.  Can I still apply for EB2? Thanks!

    Hi

Any one who satisfies the USCIS criteria can apply for a green card from outside of the USA. The application procedure is almost similar (for I-140) except instead of applying for a I-485 you would request consular processing at the place you are residing. Our example petition packets can guide you to apply on your own in EB2-NIW.

    Best wishes
